Hydrolats

A hydrolat — also called a floral or herbal water — is the gentle aromatic water that remains after a plant has been steam-distilled. It carries the plant’s subtle fragrance and much of its character, but in a far softer form than an essential oil, which means it can be used directly on skin without dilution.

We offer Orange Flower, distilled from the blossom of the bitter orange tree, and Rose Otto. Use either as a facial mist, a room spray, a light body splash, or add a couple of tablespoons to a bath. If you want the concentrated form of the same plants, see the essential oils.
